Part-Time Office Assistant — Dale Koontz Builder / Koontz Properties

Dale Koontz Builder and Koontz Properties are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role supports administrative and bookkeeping functions across both companies and offers flexible hours in a friendly, family-owned office environment right here in Quincy, IL.

Hours: Approximately 10–15 hours per week, depending on workload. Schedule is flexible and can be arranged around your availability.

Pay Range: $18-24/hour based on experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Process accounts payable, including reviewing and entering vendor bills

  • Reconcile and manage credit card transactions and statements

  • Support bill payment processes and maintain accurate financial records

  • Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems

  • Provide general administrative support as needed

  • Assist with tasks across both Dale Koontz Builder and Koontz Properties

What We're Looking For:

  • Comfortable using computers, printers, scanners, and other basic office technology

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop preferred

  • Familiarity with document scanning software a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage time well

  • Trustworthy and discreet when handling confidential financial information

Painter — Dale Koontz Builder

Dale Koontz Builder is hiring a Full Time Painter to join our team! No experience required — we're looking for a hardworking, reliable individual ready to learn and grow with a respected, family-owned construction company in Quincy, IL.

Hours: M-F 7:30a-4:30p

Pay: $18-22/hour based on experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, patching, and taping

  • Apply paint, stain, and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces on new construction and remodel projects

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

  • Work collaboratively with other crew members and site supervisors

  • Take pride in delivering high-quality, detail-oriented finish work

What We're Looking For:

  • No prior experience required — training provided

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Ability to work on your feet and handle physical tasks on job sites
