As we wrap up the year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on what has been another busy but rewarding year at Dale Koontz Builder.

Building By The Numbers

In 2025, our team accomplished a lot:

50+ home remodels, ranging from kitchen and bath updates to major renovations
5 new homes completed & keys handed to their new owners
Sold our Neylon Farms spec home in Mt. Sterling IL
4 new apartment units & 8 apartment remodels completed for Koontz Properties

When the weather's nice in December, you pour a slab or two. Taking advantage of the warmer weather and keeping things rolling on four more Koontz Properties Vista Way Apartments in Hannibal MO.

This one's getting close to done and might we say, what a stunning design and layout! Just a few finishing touches and this new home will be ready for its new owners!

Today kicked off with an early morning basement pour in Palmyra MO with Bleigh Ready Mix Company a Division of Bleigh Construction Company.

Growing Our Team

To keep up with demand and maintain the level of quality our customers expect, we welcomed four new faces to our crew this year. Investing in our team is one of the most important things we do, and these additions have already made an impact on our job sites and our customers’ experiences.

Investing in our people isn’t always about payroll. In 2025, we attended the following conferences, trainings, and seminars to grow our industry knowledge:

We’ve explored new technologies and implemented new techniques as a result with the goal to improve our business and everyday processes.

Social Outings and Celebrations

In March we celebrated Founders Day and presented Extreme Exteriors our Partner of the Year Award.
In June, Owner & Vice President Matthew Koontz got married. Matthew & Brenna Koontz tied the knot June 21, 2025 in Morgantown, WV and a few DKB team members made the trip to celebrate.
July was a company outing, we rented a suite at the Cardinals game.
In October, a few from our office attended the Doors N More networking event at The Range at KC.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we head into the new year, we’re carrying strong momentum with us:

4 new homes already in progress to start 2026
8 apartments underway in Hannibal
Several large remodel projects on the books, including major additions and a new pool house
A new partner of the year

The year ahead is shaping up to be another busy one, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s coming.
